Warm the chickpeas (microwave 30–60 sec OR simmer 3–4 min).
Warm beans = smoother hummus.
Add to a blender or food processor with:
tahini, olive oil, 1–2 tbsp aquafaba, salt
Blend 30–60 seconds. Add aquafaba 1 tbsp at a time until smooth.
Add lemon (if using) a little at a time, taste and adjust.
If needed, blend another 1–2 minutes for extra creaminess.
